Orders

How much fish do I actually need per person?

We recommend a six ounce portion for an adult (our standard size). That's a restaurant-quantity serving. Federal agencies (USDA, AHA, NRDC) often cite 3 oz servings but this fish is so good we really recommend 6 oz per adult. You will not want to share!

For families, our multi-packs or whole side fillets offer better value. Not sure what to order? Text or call us—we'll help you figure out exactly what you need.

How big are the portion sizes?

Each frozen portion is generally 6 oz. Depending on how hungry you are, you can get 1-2 servings per portion. Our whole sides of salmon are around 1.5 lbs. each. Our minced salmon and halibut cheeks and chop are 1-pound packages. Our smoked salmon is 4 oz or 6.5 oz. Check each product for exact weight details. Depending on how hungry you are, you can get 1-2 servings per portion.

Why is the fish frozen? That's not how it looks in the grocery store case.

How long will my fish stay fresh?

How do subscriptions work?

Your first box will ship right away, then you subscription will be processed on the same day every cycle according to your plan frequency. You will be notified by email before your subscription payment is due, so you can add to your order or change it. You can modify, change or pause your subscription at any time.

Shipping & Returns

How is it shipped?

Our orders are shipped via UPS in boxes with eco-friendly recyclable insulation and dry ice. They are normally in transit for 1 - 2 days, but they will stay frozen for up to 4 days depending on the weather and other factors. Every order comes with cooking instructions and recipes, and with safety instructions for the disposal of the packaging and dry ice.

Do you ship everywhere?

Yes, we do and we guarantee your fish arrives frozen anywhere in the continental United States. We don’t ship our frozen fish to Alaska or Hawaii (but we do ship our shelf stable products there).

How long does it take to get my fish?

We ship all of our orders on Mondays, Tuesdays, and some on Wednesdays depending on your location. If you are in a hurry to receive your order, choose expedited shipping when checking out. If you need to have your order delivered by a specific date, please reach out to us after placing your order and we will make sure we adjust our shipping schedule accordingly.

What if there is a problem with my order?

Please take pictures and/or videos of the issue if possible and send us an email to info@alaskafreshseafood.com. Different problems require different solutions, but we always strive for exceptional service and happy customers.

Alaska Fresh Seafood & Products

Why should I buy from Alaska Fresh Seafood instead of another company?

We lived in Alaska for many years while Juro ran a fish processing plant. We know this industry and its hard-working players inside out.

We can trace every step of our process. We only work with small boat fishermen – no trawler boats. We’re 50% women owned + 50% immigrant owned.

We’re proud donors to the Prince William Sound Science Center, Copper River Watershed Project, Chicago Fair Trade and the Waukesha County Green Team.

Our packaging can be sustainably composted.

We care deeply about the remote fishing village of Cordova, its people and its wild fish populations.

We’re honored to be a means to get the world’s finest seafood from remote Alaska right to your doorstep.

Are your products imported?

No, all of our products are 100% from the USA. Our fish are caught and processed in Alaska - in Cordova, Anchorage and Juneau. Our salmon burgers are made from 100% wild Alaskan salmon in Palmyra, WI.

What's the difference between the salmon types?

If you’re foodie or want to taste the world's best wild salmon, treat yourself to the Copper River king.

Copper River sockeye is also amazing. If you need more fish in your diet but aren’t a “fish eater” go for the halibut.

Our smoked salmon needs no preparation and is ready to eat out of the jar or pouch!
