4a. Enhanced Conversions & Advertising Data Sharing

We use enhanced conversion tracking tools provided by Google and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. This section explains how your data is used for this purpose.

What Data Is Collected

When you complete a purchase on our website, we may collect and process the following for advertising measurement:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • First and last name
  • Billing and shipping address

How This Data Is Used

Before being shared with advertising partners, this data is hashed — converted into an anonymised, non-reversible format that cannot be used to directly identify you. It is used solely to measure whether our ads led to purchases, and to improve future campaign performance.

Google Enhanced Conversions

We use Google’s Enhanced Conversions feature, which sends hashed customer data to Google to improve conversion measurement accuracy. This data is processed in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised Google advertising at any time via Google’s Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

Meta Advanced Matching & Conversions API (CAPI)

We use Meta’s Advanced Matching and Conversions API (CAPI) to share hashed customer data with Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising measurement and optimisation. This data is processed in accordance with Meta’s Privacy Policy. You can manage your ad preferences via your Facebook Ad Preferences settings.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process this data based on our legitimate business interest in measuring and optimising our advertising spend. California residents and residents of other US states with active privacy laws have the right to opt out of this data sharing for targeted advertising purposes — see Section 8a below.

Data Retention

Hashed data shared with Google and Meta is subject to each platform’s own data retention policies. We do not retain raw personal data collected solely for advertising measurement beyond the period necessary to complete the data transmission.

5. Your Choices

Opt-Out: You can opt out of receiving marketing emails and SMS messages by following the unsubscribe instructions in the communication or contacting us directly.

Access and Update: You can access and update your personal information by logging into your account or contacting us.

Advertising Data Opt-Out: To opt out of the sharing of your hashed data for advertising measurement, email us at info@alaskafreshseafood.com with the subject line “Do Not Share My Data.” You may also opt out directly via Google Ad Settings and Facebook Ad Preferences.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on our website.
